Im working full time so have been looking at the OLCI course for the City and Guilds levels 2 and 3. Has any done this or know what the standard is like?
Also, does any one know how heavy the work load is for a part time course if I were to do evening classes?
Thanks |

The Level 2 over a distance course is not so bad, there is some workload but it is reasonably manageable. The Level 3 is a bit of a step up so be prepared for some study for that.
I have not heard anything either way about the OLCI but I do know they are popular. _________________ Thank you for visiting Electrical Qualifications. Please feel free to ask questions here or email us at info@electricalqualifications.co.uk.

I just finished my level 2 with olci, it was ok, not hard. The quality of material was a bit...questionable...but if your trying to hold down a job and get the Qs without too much eating into your free time, its the only option.
Ive just signed on for level 3. At the end ill have a city & guilds qualification , but will need to complete the NVQ to be able to sign off work. This will involve working with someone who can sign me off. |

Just to push you a bit, registration on the NVQ will end in December 2010. In real terms, you need to be enrolled on the scheme by this date because it will no longer exist from 2011 onwards as an option. _________________ Thank you for visiting Electrical Qualifications.
